Eno: Lions must learn to control themselves---on the field

Read Eno's latest, in which he says that the off-season arrests of several Lions players will have little to no effect on the team's 2012 performance. What WILL affect the team's W/L record, Eno writes, is how the Lions control and improve their undisciplined play on the field, which was an issue in 2011.

Tonight's show: Tigers, Lions, and Penn State, oh my!

On tonight's episode, the Jerks assess the Tigers situation (taped prior to today's trade) and try to determine whether the team has what it takes to win the division. The Lions are also in the crosshairs, vis a vis the troubles of Aaron Berry and other off-season shenanigans.

Then, the Jerks weigh in on the mess at Penn State, again keeping in mind the show was taped Sunday night, before the NCAA came down on the university.

Big Al tries to guess whose birthday it is, and as usual, the show ends with the guys' Jerks of the Week. Warning: Tigers fans might not like Eno's choice!

The show is ready for download at 7:00pm ET, by clicking HERE.

Eno: It's been 25 years--forget John Smoltz already!

In his latest piece, Eno is frustrated with those who don't want the Tigers to trade prospect Nick Castellanos (above)---because of the John Smoltz/Doyle Alexander trade of 25 years ago.

Read why Eno feels the Tigers ought not be afraid to trade any prospect in the name of winning now, HERE.

Eno: Paterno has stained PSU football forever

Read Eno's latest, where he declares that Joe Paterno has forever stained Penn State University football.

Check it out HERE.

Tonight's Show: Our first pre-taped episode!

Tired of the technical glitches with Blog Talk Radio, Eno and Big Al will now be pre-taping each episode on Sunday night, for available download on Mondays at 7pm, and anytime thereafter.

The first such show is airing tonight, as the Jerks talk Tigers first half MVPs and LVPs (Least Valuable); surprises; disappointments; and who needs to step it up in the second half.

Eno and Big Al also ponder who might be in for a second half slide. Which player is ripe for disappointment?

There is also plenty of Penn State talk (sadly) as Eno wonders how Joe Paterno could have kept Jerry Sandusky on his staff all these years.

Yahoo! Sports' Adam Biggers joins the guys around 45 minutes in, also weighing in on Penn State.

All that, plus Red Wings (what to do NOW?); "Whose Birthday Is It?" (hint: Al did good this week!) and "Jerk of the Week."

To download at 7:00 or anytime thereafter, go HERE.

Eno: Suter, Parise rebuff Hockeytown; how dare they!!

At GregEno.com, Eno posted a weekend piece that also generated a LOT of response at Bleacher Report . It was about the Red Wings' failure to sign Ryan Suter and/or Zach Parise, the NHL's two most sought after free agents.

See if you agree with Eno's assessment that Hockeytown just isn't what it used to be.

Tonight's Show: Former MLB Umpire Dave Pallone!

Tonight the Jerks return after a week off thanks to technical difficulties! And our guest is a good one: former MLB umpire Dave Pallone (National League), baseball's first openly gay umpire. Dave will talk about the re-release of his 1990 book, "Behind the Mask: My Double Life in Baseball," and we'll also talk about the current state of umpiring and other baseball-related topics.

After Dave, Eno and Big Al will discuss the state of the Tigers at the All-Star break; the fallout for the Red Wings after failing to sign FAs Ryan Suter or Zach Parise; the Lions' contract extension with coach Jim Schwartz; and the Pistons' no. 1 draft pick, Andre Drummond.

Don't forget "Whose Birthday Is It?" and "Jerk of the Week!"

It all happens at 7:00p.m. ET LIVE here.

Eno: Time for Tigers to put up or shut up

In today's edition of "Monday Morning Manager" at GregEno.com, Eno says that this week upcoming is the most important of the Tigers season. With seven home games against the Twins and Royals on the menu leading to the All-Star break, Eno feels this is the week for the Tigers to put up or shut up.
